Introducing Exciting Changes To Our 2012-2013 Class Schedule
We are very excited to announce the addition of two new programs in our class lineup for the 2012-2013 school year.
- Twos/Young Threes
We are expanding what was formerly our Twos C class to a Twos/Young Threes class. To
keep the student age difference appropriate for this age level, this class will be reserved
for 2 year olds and 3 year olds that will not turn 4 before February 1, 2013.
- Threes/Fours With Enrichment
We are adding a 3rd day to our Threes/Fours program. We introduced this class in
2011 as a 2-day pilot on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Due to its amazing success, we are
giving it a permanent spot on our class schedule and are adding an Enrichment Day on
Wednesday. This 3rd day will feature quarterly themes like literacy, math and science,
which children will learn through fun and creative activities such as cooking, science
experiments, story dictation, and games.

PARENT INVOLVEMENT
MPCP is managed and operated by the parents, involvement is critical to the success and day-to-day operation of the co-op. Specifically, an adult from each family is expected to:
- Attend all class meetings and two all-school meetings
- Complete a parent job (sample jobs: class photographer, librarian, toy sorter,
end of year clean up) or serve as an officer on the Board
- Participate in the classroom as a classroom assistant (attend classes on
scheduled workdays, assist with daily classroom cleanup, and supply a snack,
as scheduled)
- Participate in curriculum planning and child development discussions
- Participate in fundraising. MPCP does not require families to raise a specified
amount of money. Rather, our fundraising goal is simply the participation of
100% of our member families.
